Process & Inspiration

Part of the Processs

i start by drawing an idea that may have come from a book, cartoon, nature or human gesture. this is then expanded upon. redrawn, erased and drawn again. once ready the final drawing is then traced onto a clear piece of thin plastic with a litho-Ink type pen.

these tracings are then exposed onto a screen via a hand-made (im very proud of making this item) light box.

i do a test or two on a t-shirt and jump up and down when i first see the design printed...its so rad. from here a decision is made as to what colors of hoodie and ink will be used. the decision is tested and their is more jumping up and down or a re-thinking of the combinations.

once the stars align and the devil doesn't interfere a hoodie with the design that started from paper and pencil is made and the last bit,,,well it gets to the website where all hoodie wearers dreams come true.

Inspiration

I live where there are trees, rivers, large mountains and a lot of space. At night you can see the stars and the clouds and the storms that roll through are unpredictable and wild.

Cartoons, a human gesture, a book, my surroundings these all can get into the designs.

Brands Used

These companies have a good fit and flattering cut making them a pleasure to use with Raskol ink. designs and then see on a person. Boy Howdy!
